PARNELL, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that sent three people to the hospital. The MSHP said it happened in the town of Parnell at 9:53 a.m. Sunday.
According to a crash report, Ronald Peterson, 57, of Grant City, was the driver of a 2005 Chevy 2500 that failed to yield to a 1998 Toyota Tacoma as it made a left turn on to Armstrong Road from MO Route 46. The head-on collision totaled both vehicles.
Peterson suffered serious injuries while an 11-year-old passenger in the Chevy suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Tacoma, David Auffert, 58, of Parnell, suffered moderate injuries. All three were taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville.
